Museums
Traditional and contemporary culture live together on this small
island, a place which, like the rest of Canary Islands, was, from the
XVth century on, a mandatory port of call among the major continetal
shipping routes. This has forged a meeting of cultures in the past, as
well as in the present, which has resulted in the presence throughout
all the geography of museums with diverse contents dating back to the
prehispanic era, throuhg the post-conquest era, up to the rural
traditional culture or the new art trends
